Cotton Jumpers 101 – Everything You Need to Know

At Cotton Dayz, we understand the love affair with your favourite knitted cotton jumpers. The 100% organic cotton knit is breathable but still warm. The knitted cotton keeps the cold wind from your skin while keeping the warmth inside with style.

Why we love Reversible Cotton Jumpers

The Reversible Knitwear Jumpers are medium thickness and tightly knitted to provide protection from a cool breeze or crisp wind without restriction. Cleverly designed to be worn loose, with full-length sleeves, the organic cotton holds your body warmth while allowing your skin to breathe. If your preference is a tighter fit, order a size smaller than your usual size. The cotton jumper is perfect to be worn in the house, then straight out into the cooler autumn days without adding layers.

The gorgeous reversible design means that you get two jumpers in one. So you can switch, reverse, and pair with different pants to take casual to dressy casual without purchasing several jumpers.

On the genuinely freezing days in the height of winter, you may require a thicker layer over the top. While cotton is warm and perfect for inside or on cold autumn days, when it gets close to freezing temperatures, you will require more layers. A jacket will provide an extra double layer with wide sleeves to retain your movement but provide that extra protection from the biting cold.

How To Care For Your 100% Cotton Knitwear

While 100% organic cotton knit does require a little extra care, it is not a complex material to keep looking fresh and in shape.

To keep your cotton knit or reversible cotton jumper in shape and looking new, wash in a cool gentle machine wash with minimum spin. Do not tumble dry. Hang on the line gently - do not stretch tight. For the delicate loose knit 100% organic cotton, lay on a breathable flat surface to dry.

If you need to re-shape your jumper:

  • Wash in cool water and do not spin the water out.
  • Gently squeeze the excess water out (don’t wring it out; it should still be wet but not dripping), lay the jumper flat on a towel and roll up the towel to remove the excess water.
  • Lay the jumper on a dry towel and re-shape it into the original shape.
  • Leave it to dry, and you will have your jumper back as good as new.
